How to Cite

When working on a large research project, it is helpful to use either Refworks (purchased by the library) or Zotero (available on the web) for your citation management. For smaller projects, it is often quicker to learn how to compose an accurate citation without using a citation generator, such as EasyBib, BibMe, Citation Machine, etc. You can find citation style guides on the first floor of the library in the Reference Collection area. Purdue Owl also has a useful and easy to understand guide.

Visit the library's Citation Tools page for how to access Refworks or Zotero.

The Library's subscription to Refworks is ending January 1, 2021. If you have a Refworks account, you have until January 30, 2021 to migrate your content to another citation manager.

The library recommends moving your citations to Zotero - a free, citation management program with similar functionality to Refworks. View our Migrating from Refworks to Zotero Guide for instructions on moving from Refworks to Zotero.
