There have been reports of Research Assistant not answering questions that it should be able to answer. This includes questions where it should have the content available to answer the question, and the question is not harmful. At the time, the vendor Ex Libris, cited an AI filter as the cause. The filter was identified as Azure OpenAI.

As of September 24, 2025, many the searches that were causing issues are now returning results. Often, a more complex question will generate results.
