Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Research

Background: OneSearch is our name for the product that holds the Research Assistant Tool. The vendor is Ex Libris and the parent company is Clarivate. The tool itself is referred to as Primo Research Assistant by the vendor. The AI is powered by GPT 4o-mini

There have been reports of Research Assistant not answering questions that it should be able to answer. This includes questions where it should have the content available to answer the question, and the question is not harmful. At the time, the vendor Ex Libris, cited an AI filter as the cause. The filter was identified as Azure OpenAI.

As of September 24, 2025, many the searches that were causing issues are now returning results. Often, a more complex question will generate results.
