Borrow and Request

Microfilm and Periodical Requests

Krueger library offers scanning of library-owned materials to faculty, staff, students, and community members within the bounds of US copyright law and licensing agreements for books, periodicals, and microform titles.

Request a Scan Service

To request this service, find the item in OneSearch, login with your WSU ID or courtesy card and choose Scan under the Request options.

  • For books in print or on microform, requests are limited either one chapter or 10% of the material, whichever is less.
  • For print or microform periodicals, requests must be made for each article separately.
  • If you would like the entire book, journal, or microfilm reel, use Request Hold instead.
  • Items in Archives & Special Collections, audio and video formats, legal codes, and Juvenile picture books are not eligible for scanning.
  • Scan requests are limited to three (3) per user at one time.

The library may also already have a more up-to-date version of a physical item the library owns. In instances where electronic resources are better sources, the library may substitute the electronic source for a scan request unless specified.

For community members who do not have a courtesy card, contact us to Request Scan.
