Use these databases to find the best articles from Geosciences journals.
Some databases provide article citations, but not full text. The Find It! button will link to full text across databases. If full text is not available, request it via Interlibrary Loan.
- GeoRef This link opens in a new windowThorough index to references in the geosciences, through the American Geological Institute. Covers North America from 1785 and other areas from 1933.
- ScienceDirect This link opens in a new windowScholarly articles, mostly in the sciences, though some social sciences. Citations from 1980. Some full text starting in 1993, more full text from 1997.
- U.S. Geological Survey Publication Search (USGS)This database allows you to get citations to USGS publications. The WSU library has a depository collection of USGS materials, but most of them are uncataloged, so this is the most effective way to search for items in our own collection.
- Minnesota Geological Survey Publication LibrarySearch for and download online publications from the Minnesota Geological Survey, including Winona surveys.
