In order to satisfy the requirements for this writing-intensive course you will need to submit a 20-25 page paper on a topic of our choice. Your research will be based on both primary and secondary sources.
Research material on the Vietnam war is extensive and varied. Materials include general surveys of the conflict as well as a wide range of scholarly works (books and articles) advancing a particular opinion on some aspect of the war. Additionally, there is a wealth of visual and primary resources available. Much of the challenge you will face will be in ascertaining appropriate materials to use since the sheer number of potentially useful sources is significant. Below you will find a variety of tools and selected sources that will assist you in identifying the best resources on which to base your research.
