A database is a searchable electronic index of published articles. To locate credible articles, select one (or more) of the Krueger Library's databases that is most appropriate for your topic.
If you are off-campus or in the dorms, you will need to login with your WSU username and password.
- From the library homepage, select the WSU Databases tab in the research portal.
- Choose a subject area from the Select a Database by Subject drop-down menu. For example:
Notice there are several databases for each subject. Read the descriptions to choose the best database.
Not sure which subject your topic falls under? Start in a general database, such as Academic Search Premier, MasterFILE Premier, or CQ Researcher.
- Looking for articles on peer pressure and drug addiction? Start with the Psychology databases.
- Looking for articles on caring for prenatally drug-exposed infants? Start with the Nursing databases.
